Private institutions will have fees ranging from 1000 USD to 1500 USD yearly for Undergraduate studies. For Postgraduate studies, the fee may range from 2000 USD to 3500 USD yearly. 

How to apply for study in India

Application – Every institute has certain guidelines for International students. The student will submit their academics and work experience documents as per Institution protocols. If the student fulfills the admission requirement then he will get provisional admit card. The processing of applications for research may take about three months. 

Visa – To study in India, every student should be first accepted by an institution for a study program to become eligible for a student visa. The student visa will cover your period of study or course duration, or five years of study abroad, whichever is less. During the visa application, the student needs to keep in mind certain regulations. Students holding other nationalities (other than the country where to apply for a visa) must produce proof of long-term (at least three years) / permanent residence (where to apply) in the country. For citizens of other countries, a reference must be made to their place of residence, for which an additional charge applies and will include additional processing time. Please refrain from making inquiries about the status of the application during this time. 

Accommodation Information

  • Living Cost: Living in India is very economical. The cost of living (food and others) in India is about the US $100–150 a month. 
  • Student Hostel (will cost around Rs 4,000 – Rs 7,000). Most of the institutes in India have hostel or dormitory facilities for the student. They are safe and comfortable living accommodations. 
  • Apartment on rent (it will cost around 7000 rupees with food). Students can also rent an apartment or house themselves. They will pay a monthly rental fee and pay a deposit of 2 to 10 months in advance, depending on the city they go to study. They can also share with other international students. 
  • Service Apartment (will cost around Rs 10,000-15,000) It makes these apartments to have a homely experience. They are readily movable apartments with Air-condition or on AC furnished flat, equipped kitchen, TV, fridge, washing machine, landline, internet, power back-up, fire safety & security and some even provide you with a locker.
